We did it and the weather even co-operated! A little heat, but no rain – gorgeous. A big thank-you to Chef Joel Parks from Stella’s in Oxford and his sous chef for lending their talent, expertise and hard work to the cause. The meal was delicious! Thanks so much to the MetroParks of Butler County for the lovely venue, excellent wagon ride and helpful, co-operative staff both before and during the event. Thanks Tara, Claudia, Kelley and Michelle! Thank-you to all our volunteers before and after the event: Marlene, Jan, Betty, Pat, Cal, Marcia, Sandi, Mary, Karen, Syd, Erika, Donna and Steve. If I’ve forgotten anyone – please let me know! Mostly thanks to our guests who made the evening special with their presence and support for Three Valley. It was a wonderful night and we couldn’t do it without each and every one of you. Thank-you!
As we arrived, the pretty view from the back patio was just a start of the loveliness to come.
The tables are set beautifully and waiting for our guests to arrive. What a lovely setting – this just couldn’t get any better! Wait… do I see chocolate? I stand corrected.
Joel Parks (from Stella’s) and his sous chef are busy preparing dinner.
Meanwhile… outside on the patio, the party was in full swing.
Our “celebrity” bartender, Mary Glasmeier brought wine, beer and joy to our guests, while talking with Graham and Sharon Mitchell.
Time to get onto the wagon and see some nature in style.
Jim and Sarah Michael are excited and ready to go!
We didn’t have to wait to get to the top to see some utterly gorgeous scenery.
That’s a view alright – amazing!
Then it was time for the main event and everyone came inside, found their table and awaited the main attraction – Joel’s food!
Steve Gordon (looking very dapper) serves the soup course to a Roger Millar and Judith Zinsser. Ladies first, of course.
Food, friends and conversation – just perfect!
At long last, it was time to say our farewells and head home. Sorry Cal, but you don’t get to take her with you!
It was a lovely night.
We had a great time.
We hope you did too.
