2022 Highlights
- Closed two easements protecting an additional 92 acres (over 24,500 acres now protected by TVCT). One agricultural easement funded by the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) LAEPP program and a donated easement that protected mitigation wetlands at the Molson Coors Trenton Brewery.
- Submitted ten applications for federally-funded (NRCS) easements and eleven applications for state-funded (ODA) easements.
- Currently have six pending easements. Two donated conservation easements, two agricultural easements funded through the NRCS ACEP-ALE program, and two agricultural easements funded through ODA's LAEPP program.
- Secured funding from Ohio Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of the Fernald Natural Resource Damage Trustees to install an 11.2 acre wetland on a TVCT agricultural easement in Butler County. The wetland will expand vital amphibian breeding habitat in the area and reduce nonpoint source pollution.
- Installed an additional 100 fee of limited mobility accessible boardwalk at Ruder Preserve.
- Received a $10,000 grant from Land Trust Alliance to continue our Soil Health Program, which was developed with a $10,000 grant from the American Farmland Trust in 2021.
- Received a $20,000 grant from the Northern Cincinnati Foundation to establish native seed libraries throughout Butler County.
- Became the host organization for the Southwest Ohio Woodland Association.
Our Impact
Three Valley Conservation Trust holds easements on a variety of properties primarily in the counties of Butler, Preble and Montgomery Counties with additional ones in Darke, Hamilton, Union and Warren Counties. Maps can be found on our Resources
