Wildflowers at Silvoor Biological Sanctuary. Photo by S. Dumyahn

Our Wonderful Wednesdays program wrapped up this week with a presentation by Charlie Ford about creating backyard habitat for birds.  A big thank you to Charlie and all the other experts who led us on adventures discovering the amazing things around us as part of the 2017 Wonderful Wednesday program! (temporary phone number is: 513-273-5611)

Our next Precious Preschoolers program is Saturday Sept. 9 from 9:30 to 11.  We’ll be doing some more creekin’!  Get wet and dirty exploring the fascinating critters living in our local creeks!  Meet at 4328 Wallace Rd (off Lanes Mill Rd) in Oxford.

Our last Beautiful Biking ride will be Thursday, Sept 14 at 6pm.  We’ll meet at 2550 Indian Creek Rd, Oxford (near Reily).  This will be a road ride, about 7.5 miles along a hilly, difficult route.  Refreshments will be provided at the finish.

Save the date for “Hike and Pie” plus Bioblitz at Silvoor Biological Sanctuary on Sunday, Sept. 24 at Peffer Park pavilion.  Starting at 12 pm we will work with local experts to identify plants, insects, birds, and more found at Silvoor Biological Sanctuary.  At 4 pm, we will meet up again to report on what flora and fauna were found and to take a hike through the sanctuary, followed by pie and coffee.
