Ready to wage battle against some alien invaders?
Bush Honeysuckle isn’t welcome at the Ruder Preserve and it’s time for our Inaugural Invasive Species Removal Event. Let’s get those alien invaders out of here! Do you want to know more about this project? See our Ruder Preserve Page and/or look at this Brochure.
Where: The Ruder Preserve – Park on Bonham Road between the bridge and Shadowy Hills Drive.
What: Bush Honeysuckle Removal – we will provide most of the tools needed. Please wear work gloves (perhaps eye protection) and protective boots, if you have them.
We have several dates this summer and fall:
Saturday, July 30th, 8:30 to 11:30am
Saturday, August 13th, 8:30 to 11:30am
Sunday, September 18th, 9am to Noon
Saturday, October 22nd, 9 am to 1 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm (lunch provided). Come to either the 1st or 2nd shift (or both – if you’re feeling ambitious).
Saturday, November 12th, 9 am to 1 pm
We have jobs for every level of skill. You needn’t know how to wield chainsaw or provide brute force to help to support our efforts.
Please remember to RSVP to Randy at firstname.lastname@example.org – we want to have enough tools (and in October – food) for everyone.
