Three Valley Has a New Executive Director!

Chad Smith, the new Executive Director for Three Valley Conservation Trust

We are excited to announce that Chad Smith will be the new Executive Director for Three Valley Conservation Trust, beginning September 6.

Chad Smith is an Oxford resident and Talawanda graduate who began his conservation career as an intern at Hueston Woods State Park. After graduating from with a degree in Natural Resources Management from Hocking College, he was the Park Naturalist at Hueston Woods for 8 years.  His expertise, professionalism, and leadership abilities resulted in promotions to various other positions within the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), first as the Interpretive Services Manager for the southwest region of the Ohio park system where he supervised seven park naturalists in 13 state parks, then acting Park Manager for Sycamore State Park, and most recently, Park Manager for East Fork State Park.

Chad brings an extraordinary commitment to conservation, as well as mature management skills, experience working with state and local governments, and a long history of success working with volunteers, civic groups, and the public. We expect Three Valley Conservation Trust will continue to grow and  flourish under Chad’s leadership.
